On December 1st, 2005, BuzzUniverse were lucky enough to be chosen to perform at one of the final concerts ever at the soon-to-be-closing Tribeca Rock Club in New York City. Dubbed "the Final Freakoff" the event was presented by the NYC-Freaks and five great local bands performed for a crowd of hardcore New York Music Fans.

Our Friend the Hi-Fi Fugitives started the evening off with their aggressive brand of improvisational rock n roll!

BuzzUniverse took the stage second...

Even though our set was only 45 minutes, we found time to perform our new A'Capella Christmas song, "Dear Santa"

And for our final number, a cover of the Band's "Up on Cripple Creek", Bill Ogg joined us for his nasty brand of guitar!

After our set, Circus Mind performed. For one reason or another, I forgot to take any pictures of them, but take our word, they were fantastic. Check out their Web Site

The fourth band was Stir-Fried - These guys have been around for a long time and though local to North Jersey/Rockland County, they have managed to build a huge following in Colorado by flying out there year after year to perform. All I can say is that these guys are extremely underrated on the East Coast and I really enjoyed their set of positive-polished boogie-down rock n' roll. Definitey check them out when you can. (they were also joined toward the end of their set by the legendary Michael Falzarano on rhythm guitar)

Finally, our friends Secret Government wrapped up the evening with their awesome southern rock boogie.

There was also a "superjam" at the end featuring members of every band except Stir-Fried. This was just an amazing night of music and we want to thank Aaron of the NYC-Freaks for inviting us, and everyone who came out to support all of these bands. We really hope we can do this again soon!
